SJJ Summer Training Camp with
Damon Keeve and Dave Faulkner
Saturday and Sunday July 19 and
20, 2008
This past October (2007) Shingitai hosted two
world-class judoists in what was one of our most enlightening and entertaining
training camps. EVER. Damon Keeve and Dave Faulkner took our campers
step-by-step through the latest throws and takedowns, ground-fighting,
grip-fighting, and tactics for both gi and no-gi fighters. They also devoted a
large segment to self-defense. If you missed this unique camp you missed one of
the best. But all is not lost!! On Saturday and Sunday July 19th
and 20th, 2008 we are again hosting Damon Keeve and Dave Faulkner
for our Shingitai Summer Training Camp.
In case you didn't know, Damon Keeve is a
2-Time National Judo Champion and 2-Time U.S. Olympic Judo Team Member.
Damon is also a San Francisco SWAT Team officer who teaches
state-of-the-art defensive tactics to help you prevail against thugs and
criminals on the street! Damon's segment on gun and knife disarming in October
2007 was worth the cost of camp in itself, and he has agreed to cover these
devastating techniques and tactics again for this camp. Don't miss this because this material will not be filmed and sold as a DVD.
Dave Faulkner, 3-Time U.S. Open Judo Champion,
2-Time U.S. National Champion, and 2-Time Olympic Team alternate
also will be here again. Dave is one of the best technicians in the country,
both standing and on the ground.
One of the campers from October 2007 camp
emailed me, "After working on the grip-fighting and other techniques Dave
showed at camp, I did so well in randori (sparring) back at our club that it
almost didn't seem fair!"
